- 1). Right-click on the icon of the optical disc on the desktop. Select “Eject” from the pop-up menu. Wait as the DVD tray ejects itself automatically from the eMachine’s mechanized DVD drive. Remove the optical disc from the top of the tray. Press the DVD drive’s “Eject” button on the front of the eMachine to close the DVD tray back into the front of the eMachine.
- 2). Press the DVD drive “Eject” button on the front of the eMachine. Wait as the DVD tray pops out. Pull the DVD tray fully out and remove the optical disc from the top of the tray. Push the DVD tray back into the front of the eMachine until it clicks closed.
- 3). Straighten out a paperclip and insert an end into the hole at the bottom right corner of the DVD tray on the front of the eMachine. Push the end of the paperclip into the hole until the DVD tray pops out. Remove the paperclip. Pull the DVD tray out. Remove an optical disc from the top of the tray if one is present. Push the DVD tray back into the front of the eMachine until it clicks closed.
