There are hundreds of beer games that couples and groups alike can play. Here we will explain how to play one of the most popular beer games around today. Have fun and drink up!

Who's the Boss?

This popular beer-drinking game gives beer lovers enough opportunity to drink as well as a great way to party.

"Who's the Boss?" is a blend of some of the favorite beer games that have been played over the years. If you can throw dice and toss back a glass of ale, you can play this party game.

(Caution: You must be of legal drinking age to consume beer or any alcoholic beverage.)

Beer Game Supplies:

4-6 players

4-6 beer mugs (size is up to you)

Pair of dice

Supply of beer, lager, stout or ale

Table and chairs

How to Play:

Everyone takes a seat around the table with an EMPTY mug in front of him or her. Choose who will go first.

That person takes one die and challenges another player, by placing the other die in front of the other player. Both players roll.

Outcome of Dice Rolls:

1. Players roll the same number (2, 3, or 4). Both players must fill their glass with beer if their glasses are empty or half-full. They do NOT drink their ale at this time.

If their glasses are full from a previous turn, they do nothing. The dice are then passed to the next players on their left.

2. Players both roll a 5. Both players must fill and drink half the beer in their glasses on this round. (Remember, a player may only refill his or her glass on another turn.) Play then passes to the left.

3. Players both roll a 6. This is a speed round. Players must fill their beer glasses with ale if the mugs are empty or if they are only half-full. (The player whose glass is already full will have the advantage.) The first player to empty his beer glass OR fill and drink their entire glass of ale wins the round. He or she is "the Boss."

As his or her reward, the Boss beer drinker may choose to switch chairs with any other player. (This is a great chance to socialize and sit next to that person you are dying to know better.) The player may then choose to roll again or pass the dice to his or her left.

4. Players each roll a DIFFERENT number. The one with the higher number must choose between filling his beer mug with ale or drinking his or her beer.

Or the player may choose to tell the opposing player to fill or drink beer from his own beer mug. However, only a filling OR a draining of a beer mug takes place on any one round.

5. Players both roll a 1. Both players must roll again. And follow the outcomes for their subsequent roll as stated in the previous rules.

Play moves around the table in a clockwise manner.
