How to Make a Long Beak Mask
- 1). Cut an oval out of craft foam. It should be 6 to 7 inches wide and 3 to 4 inches tall, depending on the size of the face it is being made for.
- 2). Cut an inverted "V" shape in the center bottom.
- 3). Place the mask over your face, with your nose poking through the "V" shape. Note the positions of your eyes, then cut out eye holes.
- 4). Measure the length of the two sides of the "V" shape and add them together.
- 5). Cut out a triangle of craft foam. The bottom should be the measurement you determined in the previous step, and the tip as far away from the bottom as the desired length of your beak.
- 6). Fold the triangle in half along the long side, creating a foam beak.
- 7). Glue the beak to the mask with foam glue. Allow the glue to dry completely according to the instructions on the bottle.
- 8). Make a hole on either side of the mask with a hole punch.
- 9). Decorate the mask as desired with feathers, paint, stick-on jewels or other craft materials.
- 10
Tie a piece of string to the punched holes so you can wear your mask.
