Economic Downturn - The Best of Times - Study and Be Ahead of the Pack

It has reached the point in history where just about everyone, and this applies world-wide, knows someone who has personally experienced some financial difficulty.
Or worse experienced financial hardship themselves.
We simply cannot ignore the fact that times are different.
But does different mean bad? It depends on your point of view.
Do you live in a house? Do you have a fridge, phone, washing machine, dishwasher? Need I go on? Do you own a car? How often do you eat out? If you lose any of those assets, are you in any way less able? Are you in any way not you? You can choose to be embarrassed about your loss.
That is your choice.
I have a sister staying with me.
Does not look like she is leaving soon.
About half my friends have children who are back, sometimes with families.
So what? Not one of the points mentioned so far is life threatening.
Stressful, for sure.
But amazing how much reconnecting being together offers again.
For a few years, I stopped shopping purely on price.
Now I'm more careful, take note of specials, sales, and coupons.
And guess what, I'm actually just fine.
So is the family.
In fact, being a savvy shopper is quite fun.
So how is any of this good? It has made me think and re-evaluate what I think is important.
Irrespective of which way I look, education always seems near the top.
I come from an educational background.
Can't really think of a time when I was not teaching, editing, or studying myself.
And nothing that has happened in the current financial downturn has taken a single skill away from me.
I still have every skill I ever learned.
I still feel strong and capable.
I know that anyone who sacrifices now to study will be equipping themselves for some tough times.
And they will be way ahead of the pack who did not make the effort to study and be equipped when easier times come again.
It is a known fact that the Great Depression produced both poor and rich.
Which do you prefer to be when economy evens out again? Equip yourself.
Study now.
Choose your school wisely.
Choose your extra help wisely.
Pay for a good educational service like academic editing when needed.
