- 1). Click the “Start” button in the computer's taskbar and select “Run.”
- 2). Type “regedit” and select “OK” to open the System Registry.
- 3). Right-click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager folder, point to “New” and select “Key.”
- 4). Name the key folder that you just created “Throttle.”
- 5). Right-click the “Throttle” folder, point to “New” and select “DWORD Value.”
- 6). Name the DWORD Value to “PerfEnablePackageIdle” and set its value to “1.” Exit the registry.
