- 1). Visit the Office of Fair Trading website and apply for your license. You can apply for a new license, submit a renewal or make changes to an existing license.
- 2). Fill out the application and state the type of business you own. Select the appropriate business entity on your form.
- 3). Record your unique 12-digit reference number. This number (a combination of letters and numbers) will allow you to save and retrieve your application at a later date.
- 4). Complete each step of the application. You will have 45 days (from the time you started) to complete your application.
- 5). Pay your fees. You will need a credit or debit card to complete the application and pay for your license.
- 6). Print and sign the final page of your application. You will need to upload the final completed and signed application to the OFT website.
