- 1). Find the "Trend Micro" icon in your system tray. The Windows system tray is the small cluster of icons in the bottom-right corner of your desktop. Hover your mouse cursor over an icon to reveal its name.
- 2). Right-click on this icon.
- 3). Click on "Real-Time Scan." This will disable Trend Micro AntiVirus from performing automatic scans of your computer, and it will now only operate when you tell it to.
