Discussing Bedbugs Bites And Their Symptoms

103 4
Bedbugs bites are mainly triggered by the insect's saliva.
The saliva contains an anticoagulant substance that prevents the clotting of blood.
The substance is also known to contain a certain element that allows the insect to feed calmly without being noticed by its victim.
That is why it is able to suck your blood and disappear to its hiding place without waking you up.
Most people discover the bites in the morning when they wake up because they trigger a very itchy sensation.
Some people scratch their skin but they do not experience a red rash afterwards.
Others who have a delicate skin develop hives and blisters that make the skin look very ill.
There are two bedbugs that can plague you: larvae/nymphs and the adult pest.
Nymphs are very tiny and they require feeding at least once per day for three minutes in order to live.
The adults are bigger and require more blood.
As a result, they need to suck blood from your blood capillaries for about ten to fifteen minutes.
They do not overfeed at any given session.
As soon as their tiny bellies are full they retreat to their dwellings to hide and digest blood.
For that reason many people who become victims of bedbugs bites do not discover quickly what the problem could be.
Some of them blame it on the fleas, mosquitoes, lice and other smaller insects whose bites cause similar hives.
Are you sailing in the same boat? If you are not sure what is causing hives on your skin every night there are simple symptoms that can help you discover if you have bedbugs in your bed.
- Check the arrangement of the blisters.
Are they forming either a clustered pattern or a linear one? - The bites are smaller to medium size and they can either look raised or flat.
- The hives can redden when you scratch the itchy skin - Scratching can also make some of the hives exposed to germs and could therefore become infected.
- Consider where the bumps are occurring.
A bedbug loves quick access to the host's skin.
So it will mostly damage the blood capillaries that supply blood to the arms, neck, thighs, face, lower back and buttocks.
It will mainly locate the uncovered parts of your body.
The bite may cause a severe allergic reaction on some people's skin.
When that happens these people may develop an ugly rash in a localized area or even a larger one.
Everyone's skin is different and reacts uniquely to allergens.
The hives will mostly show after a few hours since the actual damage of the skin.
Even so, there are some people who develop symptoms after a number of days have passed.
The rash can sustain itself on your skin for up to three days or more depending on your reaction to the bite.
Although these rashes are not harmful the case does not apply to all victims.
Some people are extremely destroyed by these insects to an extent of suffering from shock, insomnia and other problems.
There are many over the counter creams, steroids and lotions that you can use.
