- 1). Place the Presario laptop on a table or desk and remove the battery from the back of the unit.
- 2). Remove the screws that are used to secure the memory cover with a screwdriver.
- 3). Insert the screwdriver in the gap between the cover and the case and lift up to pull the cover off.
- 4). Push the locking levers in the memory compartment outward to release the chip and then pull it out.
- 5). Remove the new memory chip from the anti-static bag.
- 6). Align the memory chip to the memory socket on the laptop and then insert the chip into the socket.
- 7). Press down on the memory chip to secure the locking levers.
- 8). Set the memory cover back in place and secure it with the screw.
