    Goldsmith Scholarship for Incoming Freshman

    • High school graduating seniors who will be incoming freshman at the University of Kansas in the Aerospace Engineering Department qualify for the Goldsmith Scholarship for Incoming Freshman. The scholarship awards varying amounts of tuition assistance based on the achievements of each individual student and are renewable for up to four years. The school chooses award winners based on high school grade point average, high school class rank and ACT or SAT scores. To be eligible for renewal each year, the student must take at least 15 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.2. Scholarship applications can be found online at the Aerospace Engineering Department website.

    MAAC Aerospace Engineering Scholarship

    • Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex Aerospace Education Program, the MAAC Aerospace Engineering Scholarship goes to high school students wishing to study aerospace engineering at a West Virginia college or university. The $1,000 scholarship goes to a graduating high school senior with a grade point average of at least 3.0. Applicants must be West Virginia residents and be attending a West Virginia postsecondary institution. Along with the application, interested students should submit two evaluation forms, professional resume and letter of intent describing their career interests.

    Embry-Riddle FIRST Robotics Scholarship

    • Students interested in aerospace engineering, especially robotics, can apply for the Embry-Riddle FIRST Robotics Scholarship. Open to high school students who have participated on a FIRST Robotics team and will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach campus, the scholarship awards $5,000 a year in tuition money for four years. A total of five scholarships are awarded each year. To apply, interested candidates must submit a FIRST scholarship application, application for admission to Embry-Riddle, official high school transcript and copies of SAT or ACT scores. Scholarship applications can be found online at the FIRST website.

    Air Force ROTC Scholarship in Aerospace Engineering

    • Along with various other majors, the Air Force ROTC program offers high school students interested in studying aerospace engineering scholarships for college. Students can study aerospace engineering at any of the more than 1,000 schools in the country with an Air Force ROTC program on campus. Eligible students must have a 2.5 grade point average and must commit to fulfilling the obligations of an ROTC cadet. Scholarship amounts vary depending on the student and school, and can award up to full tuition for all four years of college.
