Ian McKellen Signs on to Stardust
The role of the narrator in Matthew Vaughn's big screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Stardust has gone to Ian McKellen. Sir McKellen (X-Men, The Da Vinci Code) will lend his voice to Stardust, joining the cast which includes Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Charlie Cox, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Sienna Miller.
Filming has already finished up on Stardust and McKellen will add his voice during the post-production process.
Gaiman's novel tells the story of a young boy who travels outside the gates of his city to find a fallen star and bring it back to the woman he loves. While in the Fairie world, he comes across all sorts of bizarre, fantasy creatures.
