Whirlpool Refrigerator Icemaker Installation Instructions
- 1). Unplug the refrigerator or turn off the refrigerator breaker in your service panel.
- 2). Install two screws into the icemaker screw holes on the rear of the left wall of the freezer, if they are not already installed. Install the screws about half way.
- 3). Plug the wire harness adapter into the power receptacle on the left side of the ice maker. Push the connector into the receptacle until the clip on the connector locks into place. Connect the other end of the wire harness adapter to the refrigerator's wire harness. The refrigerator's wire harness is located in the gap on the left side of the rear wall of the freezer. The wire harness has enough slack that it can be pulled from the wall to connect to the ice maker wire harness adapter.
- 4). Align the mounting brackets on the side of the ice maker with the two screws installed on the wall and insert the screws into the eyelets. Fully tighten the two screws to secure the ice maker in place.
- 5). Insert the screw into the bottom side of the ice maker, if the refrigerator has a screw hole and the ice maker has a bracket.
- 6). Restore power to the refrigerator.
