How to Clean Grout Haze From Marble
- 1). Fill both buckets about three-quarters full with clean, potable and room-temperature water.
- 2). Place one grout sponge in each bucket and allow to soak for three to five minutes.
- 3). Lay a protective drop cloth over any surfaces that you do not wish to be discolored, moistened or soiled.
- 4). Designate one bucket for rinsing and the other for cleaning.
- 1). Wring out the cleaning water sponge, leaving about one-third of the water in the sponge. Gently wipe down the affected area at 45-degree angles to the grout seams. Regularly remoisten the sponge by wringing it out in the cleaning bucket until the entire surface has been moistened.
- 2). Allow the surface to dry for two to three minutes and repeat Step 1 using the cleaning bucket. Repeat this process until only a slight grout haze remains.
- 3). Now allow the grout and marble to dry for 15 to 30 minutes. This will prevent the grout in the seams from becoming too wet, resulting in undesirable complications (See tips section).
- 4). Wring out the final rinse sponge, leaving about one-third of the water in the sponge. Gently wipe down the affected area at 45-degree angles to the grout seams. Regularly remoisten the sponge by wringing it out in the final rinse bucket until the entire surface has been moistened.
- 5). Allow the surface to dry for two to three minutes and repeat Step 4 using the final rinse bucket. Repeat this process until no signs of grout haze remain.
