- 1). Click "Start" and open "Control Panel."
- 2). Click on the "Programs" link. Click on the "Uninstall a program" link, which is located under "Programs and Features." A list of the computer's programs will appear on the screen.
- 3). Locate and click on the "AOL Uninstaller (Choose Which Products to Remove)" program. Click the "Uninstall" button, which is located on the toolbar. The Windows "User Account Control" dialog box will appear on the screen. Click "Continue" to proceed with the process.
- 4). Place a check in the box next to AOL Spyware Protection. Click the "Uninstall" button. The program will ask you to confirm your intention to remove the software. Click "Yes" to begin uninstalling the application.
- 5). Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the removal process. Depending on your version of AOL Spyware Protection, the program may ask you whether you want to completely remove certain files. Click "Yes" to completely remove all files related to AOL Spyware Protection.
