Use the right type of livestock trailer for best efficiency and for the best comfort of the animals that you haul from one place to another. Different types of livestock require trailers with varied comfort features including special on-loading and off-loading facilities and hauling capacity. Some trailers are light enough to be easily towed by a light vehicle such as a family car. - Horse trailers are specifically designed for hauling large and heavy livestock, such as horses and pigs. Blendworth Trailer Center notes that horse trailers are available in length options of 8 to 14 feet and heights of 6 and 7 feet. They are uniquely partitioned at the center to allow transportation of two 16.2 hh (hands high) horses. The horse trailer has a gross weight of 7,700 lbs. and has the capacity to haul a payload of between 4,422 and 4,950 lbs. The trailer has either the "EasyLoad" combination ramp doors or a standard ramp. The trailer also features side ventilation flaps, a front access door and aluminum ramp gates.
- If you haul your livestock through insecure places, the aluminum livestock trailer is probably the most ideal hauling option. Besides its all-aluminum body, the trailer features a curbside escape door through which livestock can be unloaded in times of emergency. It is also fitted with wraparound LED lights and watertight wiring hardness to augment livestock safety. This trailer also has a full opening center gate and a slide-by on the driver's side to facilitate easy loading and unloading. The trailer is rust resistant, has a high resale value and sustains good looks with minimal maintenance. The aluminum treadplate floor is skid free. It has ventilation to allow the animal you are transporting to breathe freely. In addition, it has size adjustment options which allow you to transport an animal of any size
- These trailers are specifically designed to haul livestock over rough terrain roads. They have an all-aluminum body and a double deck to enhance livestock comfort on rough roads. Loading of livestock is done through a solid rear door with a roll up, and both decks are equipped with street-side escape doors. To ensure more livestock comfort, the stock trailers also feature extra air flow. The floors include thick rubber mats. Besides preventing the aluminum floor from tear and wear, the rubber ensures that the aluminum floor is skid resistant and provides your livestock with the necessary comfort.
