    • 1). Turn off the Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop. Unplug the power adapter from the back of the laptop.

    • 2). Flip over the Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop and remove the battery by sliding the battery release mechanism over. This will pop out the battery and is an important safety precaution to follow before proceeding.

    • 3). Turn the Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop back over and open up the computer so the display is upright. Look along the bezel of the P35. The bezel is the plastic perimeter that surrounds the actual display. There will be screws along this bezel that are covered with plastic seals for aesthetic purposes.

    • 4). Pop off the seals covering the screws with your fingers, then remove the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

    • 5). Remove the Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop's bezel. There will still be latches between the bezel and the back of the display's case that hold the bezel in place even after the screws are removed. These small latches can be disengaged by working your fingers around the bezel's perimeter carefully. Take care not to damage the latches as you remove the bezel.

    • 6). Disconnect the inverter cable of the display. This black cable is on the very bottom center of the exposed Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop screen. It plugs into a socket on the inverter board which lies directly below where the inverter cable rests. Lift up on this socket and slide the inverter cable out to disconnect it.

    • 7). Remove the metal brackets on either side of the display. Take your Phillips screwdriver and take out the screws that are in each bracket.

    • 8). Pull back on the display slightly, just enough to reveal the LCD cable moving from the back of the screen down to the point on the laptop where it connects to a socket. Lift up on this socket like you did the inverter socket and slide out the LCD cable.

    • 9). Lift the Toshiba Satellite P35 laptop's display up and out.
