How to Connect an Electrolux Hob
- 1). Verify that local codes permit connecting the cooktop ground wire to the white (neutral) wire from the fuse box. If local codes prohibit this, use a 4-wire power supply and connection, as described in the next section.
- 2). Turn off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
- 3). Connect the power supply from the fuse box or circuit breaker to a grounded junction box using flexible armored or non-metallic sheathed cable. Make sure the junction box provides suitable strain relief for the flexible cable. Mount the junction box to the back of the cabinet structure at least 12 inches below the underside of the cooktop and 10 inches from the right edge of the cooktop.
- 4). Connect three power supply wires to the three cooktop wires at the junction box using screw-on wire connectors. Connect the red power supply wire from the fuse box to the red wire from the cooktop. Connect the black power supply wire from the fuse box to the black wire from the cooktop. Connect the neutral white wire from the power supply to the green ground wire from appliance at the ground terminal inside the junction box.
