- 1). Open the Start menu on your computer by clicking on the "Start" button in the task bar.
- 2). Click on the "Run" program and then run the command "regedit.exe" to open the Registry Editor.
- 3). Use the navigation panel (on the left side of the Registry Editor window) to go into the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\.icm\PersistentHandler" folder.
- 4). Right-click on the "PersistentHandler" folder and then click "Delete."
- 5). Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to delete the folder and then restart your computer to finish the removal process.
