This infant sloth is Bradypus tridactylus, pale-throated three-toed sloth who lives in the tropical rain forests from southern Central America to north-eastern Argentina.
The sloth is usually solitary and lives on buds, and leaves of trees of the genus Cecropia. Because it spends its life in the trees, it is handicapped when removed from its habitat and does not do well in capitivity.
