Lawn Problems & Grub Damage
- Noticing the appearance of grubs or the signs of their presence can help gardeners get rid of them before they cause too much damage. Grubs look like small, fat, white worms. Lawns damaged by grubs will show irregular brown patches and wilting grass.
- Insecticides are available for purchase that can be applied in early spring. These should be applied to the lawn before it is watered so that the chemicals enter the soil. These insecticides make it difficult for grubs to survive to do damage.
- Regular watering and fertilization of the lawn once the grubs have been killed off can restore the yard to its full health. Keeping the soil irrigated and healthy will enable the lawn to continue growing and become green again.
