- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu in the left-hand side of the Windows task bar. Click "Shut down" from the Start menu and then click "Restart" from the Shut Down menu.
- 2). Press and hold "F8" on your keyboard when your computer restarts. You must press "F8" before Windows launches. A good method is to continuously press and hold "F8" immediately when your computer restarts.
- 3). Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the "Boot in Safe Mode With Networking" option. Press "Enter." Your computer will begin to boot in Safe Mode.
