How Can I Block Certain Sites?
- 1). Open Internet Explorer and select the "Tools" option from the menu. Select "Internet options" from the drop-down list.
- 2). Click on the "Security" tab and select the icon labeled "Restricted Sites." Click on the "Sites" button below the icon.
- 3). Enter the specific website you want to block and click "Add." Any website added to the list will be blocked from your web browser.
- 4). Click on the "Internet" icon under the "Security" tab. You can adjust the bar from low to med-high to high. The higher the security setting, the more restricted your Internet access will be. This might limit your browsing experience, but it will be extra safe.
- 1). Download the BlockSite add-on for Firefox by clicking on the "Tools" menu in your Firefox browser and selecting "Add-ons."
- 2). Click the "Get Add-ons" tab and search for "BlockSite" in the space provided. Click the "Add to Firefox" button and then click "Install" at the pop-up. When the add-on finishes installing, agree to restart your browser.
- 3). Navigate to "Tools" then "Add-ons," then click on the "Extensions" icon (it looks like a puzzle piece). Scroll down and click on "BlockSite" and click the "Options" button.
- 4). Click the "Add" button and enter any websites you wish to block. Select "OK" to save these settings.
