• 3). Place your charcoal sachet inside your filter.
  
  

Using Activated Charcoal with Plant Food

• 1). Sift your soil to loosen it.
  
  
• 2). Mix the equivalent of a 1/2-inch layer for your pot or planting area of activated charcoal with your granulated plant food thoroughly.
  
  
• 3). Mix plant food and activated charcoal with your loosened soil, being sure to mix well with all of your soil.
