How to Take Microscopic Photos of Electronics

104 3
    • 1). Place the microscope on a level surface, and place the electronics that you wish to take pictures of below the microscope underneath the lens.

    • 2). Look into the microscope and adjust the focus of it so that the electronics appear in the microscope's viewfinder as clear as possible.

    • 3). Set your camera to macro mode, if available, to allow the camera to take better, more in-focus pictures at a close range to the subject.

    • 4). Hold the digital camera over the viewfinder of the microscope, lightly pressing the lens against it. Create a rudimentary cover with an opaque material to eliminate any light leaking in the cracks between the camera and viewfinder.

    • 5). Seal the cover to the viewfinder with tape.

    • 6). Hold the camera up against the light cover and look through the camera's viewfinder to determine how the electronics appear in the frame of the camera. Take the picture. Adjust the focus of the microscope as necessary while you take additional photos.
