Unique Wedding Gifts for Parents
- Write out something that is heartfelt to you and your parents, perhaps what they mean to you or a thank you for the things they have done for you. Take these heartfelt sentiments and have them engraved on a plaque, embroidered on a handkerchief, or hire a calligrapher to write your words for you and then frame it. This way, your parents will know exactly how you feel about them.
- Take the time to create a special scrapbook for your parents. Take your photos and special mementos from when you were younger all the way up through your engagement. If you want to, contact places you visited in your youth and ask for brochures or stickers to place in your scrapbook. Use ticket stubs from movies or concerts. Add drawings from when you were a child. Write something special in the front of the scrapbook, and leave a blank page at the end of the book for a photo of your wedding.
- Frames are not the most original gift you can give to your parents, but they become unique when you have them personalized. You can have silver engraved or crystal etched to include your names and the date of your wedding, and once the wedding is over, a special photograph of all of you can be placed inside.
