It brings a harmonious balance in the ecosystem, too.
The forest is one of the sources of water.
It attracts the clouds and causes rainfall.
Moreover the forest prevents destructive natural calamities like flood and landslides.
It also reduces air, water, soil and noise pollution.
It also supplies medical herbs.
It stops soil erosion.
It promotes tourism as well.
Tourists enjoy the wild life and the forest adventure, popularly known as jungle safari.
The population of the world is soaring.
The more the people, the more land they need for food, cloth and shelter.
To supply their growing needs, they cut the trees and destroy the forests.
Cutting down the trees randomly is deforestation.
Overgrazing the domestic animals is also a cause of deforestation.
To cut down the trees means to destroy the home of bio-diversity, that is to reduce our own happiness.
There will be imbalance in the nature and the existence of living beings will be totally impossible due to deforestation.
In the end, planting and conserving the forest is to conserve ourselves.
If we don't want to be extinct, we must aware people about the consequences of deforestation.
They must be encouraged to plant trees.
Community forestry should be developed.
Above all, the population growth must be controlled.
The forest should be used in such a way that it doesn't lose its quality for the future generation.
