Save Money From Restaurant Meals

103 11
Going out for lunch or dinner might not seem appropriate in this period, when every cent needs to be accounted for.
Still, a few times a month you might consider it is worthwhile to eat out.
If that's the case, try following some simple rules to make sure you don't overspend.
You should have fun without spending a small fortune at a restaurant.
One of the factors to take into account is avoiding the overpriced drinks.
No need to choose from the expensive ones when you can drink water.
Restaurants tend to charge a lot on special drinks.
Try avoiding them.
Ask for water and, to make it a bit more special, some lemon.
It might not taste as good as a fine cocktail, but it will save you a lot.
Sharing a meal is also something to take into consideration.
Given the size of the meals today, one meal might be enough to feed two people.
Don't be ashamed to do it.
Also, if you don't want to spend money on a full meal, go for appetizers.
Those are usually less expensive than a meal and as tasty as one.
You could probably eat two or three for the price of a full meal.
When eating out, try to avoid being influenced by the waiters.
They usually suggest stuff on the menu to increase your bill.
Don't order something just because the waiter told you it's good.
It's his job to sell as much as possible.
If you really want something nice for desert, buy it.
Just don't do it because the waiter recommended it.
All in all, eating out can be less expensive than you expected.
Try to avoid the fancy food and drinks and you should be able to afford more than one or two meals per month.
