Toner Replacement Instructions for the Toshiba ES282

    Check Toner Levels

    • 1). Press the "Job Status" button on the touch screen.

    • 2). Press the button labeled "Toner."

    • 3). Read the bars indicating how much toner is left for each color cartridge and for the black cartridge.

    • 4). Replace cartridges that are empty or nearly empty.

    Replace Empty Cartridges

    • 1). Open the Toshiba ES282's front cover when the system displays a message asking for toner to be replaced.

    • 2). Pull gently on the cartridge that needs replacing until it comes out of the system.

    • 3). Shake the new toner cartridge from side to side to evenly distribute toner.

    • 4). Point the white piece of paper that is adhered to the cartridge upwards while the toner cartridge is parallel to the ground. This white paper will have an arrow printed on it.

    • 5). Pull the white paper in the direction indicated by the printed arrow.

    • 6). Insert the cartridge into the system and push until you hear a click. This signifies that the cartridge is properly installed.

    • 7). Close the front panel and wait several minutes for the system to accept the toner cartridge.

    Replace Nearly-Empty Cartridges

    • 1). Press the "Job Status" button on the touchscreen.

    • 2). Press the "Toner" button.

    • 3). Press the "Replace Toner Cartridge" button.

    • 4). Press "Yes" on the confirmation screen that appears.

    • 5). Select the button on the screen for the color that will be replaced.

    • 6). Press "Yes" when the message asking you to replace the cartridge appears.

    • 7). Open the ES282's front cover.

    • 8). Pull gently on the cartridge that needs replacing until it comes out of the system.

    • 9). Shake the new toner cartridge from side to side to evenly distribute toner.
