Tiki bars have been around for quite some time they are most commonly seen at vacation spots that have a tropical feel.
In recent years people have realized they are quite easy to build and have built there own private bar.
The bar's can be used as a place where you can both entertain guests and your own family.
Having your own adult beverage making devices aren't uncommon for those who like them.
The supplies that are needed to make a the bar's are pretty simple some wood, cabinets, fridge and some palm tree limbs for a roof.
The personal touches you put on your tiki bar are up to you.
For example you could substitute the palm tree limbs with just about anything you want as a roof.
Most of the  bar's are decorated with artifacts or replicas of items found in the tiki culture.
For example things like masks, carvings, special torches and tropical table cloth just to name a few.
The first tiki bar ever in 1933 was made by Ernst Gantt in California.
The club was called Don Beachcomber, the club really caught on while Gantt was away at World War II and even expanded to 16 restaurants.
When Gantt came back from war he moved to Hawaii and created Waikiki Beach.
The era of traditional tiki bars only lasted 30 years until it fell out of fashion.
However it has resurfaced as recent as the 1990's.
The bar's now aren't themed as much around the Tiki culture but are more about bar atmosphere.
The bar's are just like any other piece of custom furniture they can be built however you want them to be built .
