How to Trim Off Damaged Lucky Bamboo Leaves
- 1). Identify any lucky bamboo leaves that have brown or yellow coloring only on the tip. Grasp the leaf in one hand and trace the leaf back to where a healthy green coloring begins. Cut the tip of the leaf off at this location using hand pruners or nail scissors. Repeat the process to trim off the tips of any other damaged leaves.
- 2). Look for any leaves that are entirely brown and grasp them with your fingers. Pull down gently toward the bottom of the stalk to detach the dead leaves. If you feel resistance, stop pulling and move on to another leaf.
- 3). Cut off all of the remaining brown leaves with scissors or pruners. Make the cut as close to the main stalk as possible without injuring it.
- 4). Locate any leaves that are completely yellow with no green coloring and trim them off using the pruners or scissors.
