The tips and tricks that we are offering in this series are not to be used as medical advice as that should be left to you and your doctor, but everything in this series is designed to be used by you and your physicians to help improve the quality of your life and intensify your vigor for living.
The primary part of this series is divided in to ways that you can add years to your life through basic activities and information.
The next part is to be shared with your doctor, chiropractor, cardiologist or any other health care practitioner that you are trusting with your well being.
In this day and age we are tired of living just to get by and we want to live pain free and be more functional.
This series is for you.
If you are willing to take the lessons and apply them to your circumstances, you will have the tools necessary to live a more happy, healthy lifestyle! Since this is the introduction of the series, the first lesson is about having fun.
Much of our lives we have been told to "settle down", stop doing that, start "acting our age" etc.
Well, that's just no fun! Our bodies were made for activity and with motion comes life.
If we've got to be moving we might as well have fun doing it! So today's lesson is have a little fun! Get out of the house and do something you enjoy doing.
If it's shopping - enjoy (just keep the credit card at home!).
If it's walking - go take a walk.
If it's the middle of winter or the blazing summer - than walk indoors.
There are hundreds of ways to get out and enjoy the day.
Now since most of us aren't used to having fun here's a tip - THINK LIKE A THREE YEAR OLD! At three, we've learned the basics of right and wrong (so we don't run out in front of cars or play in traffic for fun) and we've learned what we enjoy doing most (coloring, playing on the playground, building models).
So it's time to be THREE again and enjoy a little.
Pick something a three year old would enjoy and go do it! It doesn't need to take all day (most 3 year olds can only do an activity for 30 min to 1 hour) so pick that activity and go do it.
That is your homework for this lesson.
