How to Troubleshoot an Epson 5350 Projector
- 1). Turn the projector off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when you first experience problems. Then plug the power cord back in and turn the projector on. This resets the unit and can resolve many basic problems.
- 2). Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down if the temperature warning light is flashing orange. The temperature warning light is next to the power light.
- 3). Wait for the temperature warning light to change if it is red. A red warning light means the projector is too hot and has automatically shut off. Do not turn the projector back on until the red light goes off.
- 4). Replace the projector lamp if the projection lamp warning light is red or flashing between orange and red. The projection lamp light is near the temperature warning light.
- 5). Press the power button to turn the projector back on if the power light is orange. An orange power light indicates the projector is in sleep mode.
- 6). Clean the air filter if the temperature warning light constantly becomes red. Restricted air flow could be causing the unit to overheat. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cable. Place the projector on its side so the handle is on top. Pull up the filter cover tab to release and remove the filter cover. Clean the filter with a small vacuum cleaner designed for office equipment and computers. Replace the filter cover.
