Having just gone through an election in my country, i was considering how the political party and the economy affects businesses.
The party in government has a large say in what happens in the economy.
If they put up taxes, then the disposable incomes of people tends to go down.
With a reduction in income, people tend to be more cautious about how they spend their money.
In order to keep your business running during the tough times, you need to offer the people something for free.
Do not try and sell them something because at this moment in time they may not have the disposable income to spend on your products.

Get a large list during the tough times, they will come to trust you.
Then as the economy improves in their country and they have more money to spend, you can offer them products that they can purchase from you.
remember though that you should not try and force them into buying anything, just give them the option of buying if they want to.
If they do not feel pressured into buying anything then they are more likely to stay on your list.
People tend to not want to receive e-mails from you if every e-mail tries to make them buy something from you.
Keep on their good side and they might buy something from you one day.
The bigger your list, the greater the chances are that someone will buy from you.
When you have got a big list of people, the chances of making some form of income every day is greatly increased.
Keep them happy and chances are someone will buy something from you.
