Some important fact regarding Society Registration & Welfare
If you have a dream of social welfare, then you can open a NGO, so that you can accept donations for the help of poor and helpless folks. Apply for NGO Registration is a good idea if you want to help needy persons. There are many types of NGOs which you can form like society, trust, company u/s 25 of companies act, 1956. If we talk about society than you just need to fulfill some requirement of the society registration act 1860. For registration of society in India there are certain requirements of the Societies Registration Act 1860, which depends upon the status of the society. There are two levels of societies which can be register in India -
In case of state level 7 members are required for purpose of society registration. And in case of registration of society at all India level there is a need of 9 members out of which 7 members of should be form different state and 2 members from the state where you sought to register you society. If we talk about for what proposes societies can be formed then, Society can be registered for charitable purpose or to promote science, literature, art, diffusion of useful knowledge, public museums or galleries of painting etc or other proposes. Name registration of society is also an important thing. For name registration of the society it is also compulsory to comply with the rules of The Name and Emblems Act, 1950. Name of the society should imply any connection with Government of India or any State Government. Also name should not be Identical to the name of any other society or National Heroes; it is prohibited as per The Name and Emblem Act, 1950. Name should also not be undesirable in the opinion of registrar. Then we need memorandums of the society, in which we have to consider all of our objects. Memorandums should contain following things-
After the memorandums there is a need of some rules and regulation for the society to ensure the good governance. Rules should be made in regard of- board and governing body meetings, Accountability of workings, modes of Investments, statutory audit and other legal formalities etc. Here is the list of the documents for the registration of Society-
A fee of Rs. 50 also has to be paid at the time of collecting Certificate of registration. After 7 days of providing certificate they provide certified copy of memorandums and rules & regulations previously submitted.

- Application letter to registrar of society
- Two sets of Memorandum and Rules & Regulation of Society.
- Attested affidavit of President on Rs. 10 stamp paper with Rs. 5 stamp on it
- Attested NOC from the owner of the premises on the stamp paper of Rs. 10 again with Rs. 5 stamp on the adders at which society is going to be registered.
- Id proof of the president and other society members.
- Electricity bill or water bill of the premises with the signatures of the owner on which society is going to be registered.
