    • 2). Remove the deep-fryer baskets and place them in the dishwasher or sink. Wash them as you would a dish.

    • 3). Place a large, solid container underneath the drain spout. Open the spout, and allow the oil to drain into the bucket.

    • 4). Remove and scrape away any food debris from the fryer with a spatula and towels. Discard all waste in the oil bucket or trash bin.

    • 5). Close the drain spout. Fill the fryer with fresh water from the faucet. Add 5 or 6 drops of liquid detergent to the water.

    • 6). Plug the unit into the power outlet, and turn it on. Allow the soapy water to boil for 10 minutes.

    • 7). Turn the fryer off, and allow the soapy water to cool to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 8). Place a large bucket underneath the drain spout. Unplug the drain and allow the soapy water to collect in the bucket.
