You should learn to swing a bit, hang from the willow trees,
strange fruit, be a man, not a mouse, put up your dukes
do a little dance, hit the dummy, pummel the pork,
flex your back, hold your ankles and bend your knees,
all of this will make you feel better
Sure there are difficult people out there
and we know that things can be rough
but you don't always have to stay the course
You have many options that other people may not have
so if you must you can shake your hiney, rev up your gears,
take a step, a hitch in your gitalong,
don't let them see you sittin' where the sun don't shine
So just skedaddle and get the hell out of there,
move yourself onward down the line as there is a new group of Bible-belters
forming just around the corner,
if you have the right appearance and you know the right words
you will be embraced, they will not ostracize you
because conformity is what they need
They are like the Knight's of Columbus always raising money, always doing good
Maybe they are like the Rotary Club, the Mason's, the Royal Order of Buffalo
a little secret, always on the sly
But if you open up your mouth and say the wrong thing,
boy you will be in for a shock
But if you can just adjust to their thinking you know that you will always be right
and it is such a great comfort to know that you have good friends to be around
They hate the enemy so you know that they will help you if you ever happen
to get in a jam
If you need a loan they have the money, a job, they have the connections
As long as you are one of them, there is absolutely no problem at all
