- 1). Pour 1 tbsp. of powdered water softener and 1 tbsp. of salt into an aluminum foil pan.
- 2). Fill the aluminum foil pan with hot water. Stir the solution until the water softener and salt thoroughly dissolve.
- 3). Place the tarnished silver in the water softener solution, and let the silver soak for a minute.
- 4). Remove the silver from the water softener solution. Buff the silver with a terry cloth rag to enhance the silver's shine.
