How to Troubleshoot Enviro Pellet Stoves

• 1). Make sure the stove is plugged in and the wall outlet has power if the stove will not start. You may need to wait about 30 seconds for the circuit board to initiate the stove after you push the ON/OFF button. Turn the thermostat up to call for heat if it is in the ON/OFF mode.
  
  
• 2). Check the heat level indicator if the stove will not operate when hot. The #3 light will flash when the exhaust temperature sensor's contacts have opened as a result of the fire going out. Look at the hopper to make sure there is enough fuel. Check to see if the blower motor is turning. You may have a combustion blower failure. If this is the case, contact a repairman.
  
  
• 3). See if the burn pot liner needs to be cleaned if the auger motor will not function normally. Build up can cause the unit to shut off. If it is not dirty, check for obstructions in the hopper system. Make sure the door is closed properly and the ash pan is closed. The auger motor needs to have enough vacuum in the stove or it will stop working.
  
  
• 4). Look for pinch points or damage to the vacuum hose if the #2 light on the heat output bar is flashing. You may also want to try blowing out the vacuum hose. There may be a blocked exhaust or venting system. If this is the case, you'll need to have the stove cleaned and inspected professionally. Check to see if you have a vacuum switch failure by bypassing the vacuum switch. If this fixes your problem, you may need to replace the switch.
  
  
• 5). Make sure the burn pot liner is up tight to the ignitor tube if the pellets will not light. You will need to push the burn pot back against the ignitor tube. See if the ignitor is bright orange. If that is not the color, you need to replace the ignitor. Check to see if the exhaust blower is operating. If it is not, you will need to contact a repairman.
