Youth Ministry Job Description
- A youth minister is an adult leader who meets with young children and adolescents for worship, community work, Bible study and ministry events. Assisting youth with spiritual issues and guiding them spiritually are two of the basic tasks in taking on the role of a youth minister.
- A youth minister is expected to oversee the youth ministry and direct and carry out it's mission and vision, encourage and nurture the youth of the community as well as their families, explore different ways to keep youth motivated and involved in the church and work cooperatively with other churches to develop ministry events for youth that will inspire and motivate them.

Courses in religion, child psychology, family studies and communication are a few of the things under most youth ministers' belts. Another important key factor in obtaining a title as a youth minister is keeping current with the trends and issues that are important to teens and children; that way, you can speak to them in a way that they'll understand.
