Can You Clean Laminate & Hardwood Floors With Vinegar?
- Add 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar to a bucket with 1 gallon water. Dunk your mop into the solution and wring out as much liquid as possible. Quickly run your mop across the surface of the floor, using more liquid as needed.
- Wood Floor Doctor suggests using a water-based solution like this, only on floors that were recently refinished or a new wood floor, as the water can wash away your finish. The vinegar solution is suitable for all types of laminate floors.
- Always use caution when placing any water-based mixture on your wood floors. Too much water can actually seep into the wood, causing swelling and other problems.
