What you can put in his man cave
A man cave is a man's room. It's the room in the house where you can put all your manly things – those transformers figurines your wife won't let you have in the bedroom, your enormous 50 inch TV and play station that "clutter up the lounge" and a beer fridge for all your favourite treats.
If you're lucky enough to have a spare room in your house and your wife / partner is letting you turn it into a man cave, you might be stuck for ideas on how to decorate it and what to put inside. The great thing about having a man cave is that it's yours to do with as you please, so the only limit is your imagination. Here are some ideas:
Whatever you decide to put in your man cave, make sure it's fun, manly and unique to you!
- Since you'll probably be watching a lot of TV / playing a lot of console games, you wouldn't want that pesky sunlight obscuring your vision. Install some dark roller blinds on all the windows in your man cave to make it suitably cave-like.
- You could install some bookshelves and fill them with your favourite toys. Many men like to collect toys that remind them of their childhood, like the new release transformers, model trains, or table-top gaming figurines.
- You could decorate the walls with your favourite movie posters, covers from old comic books or your favourite centrefold models.
- You should definitely have a place in your man cave to store your favourite drinks and snacks. You might simply like a beer fridge, or you could install a popcorn machine for movie nights, or a full bar if you're a bit of a drinks fan.
- You could hang flags and memorabilia from your favourite sports teams.
- A man-cave can also be a room for you to indulge your favourite hobby. This might be playing the guitar, or building model trains. In which case, much of your room will be taken up with equipment for this hobby – whether that's a modelling desk and bench layout, or an amp, racks of guitars, and posters of your favourite bands.
Whatever you decide to put in your man cave, make sure it's fun, manly and unique to you!
