Kenmore Dishwasher Control Panel Repair
- 1). Turn off the dishwasher breaker in your service panel.
- 2). Open the dishwasher door and remove the screws securing the control panel to the door. These screws are on the top of the inner door panel.
- 3). Close the dishwasher door but do not latch it. Pull the control panel off the door.
- 4). Depress the tabs securing the control board cover in place and remove the control board cover.
- 5). Examine the control panel ribbon connector, which is on the side of the control board. If it has become detached, reconnect it, reassemble the dishwasher and test for functionality. If it is still intact, replace the control panel.
- 6). Detach the control panel ribbon connector from the side of the control board.
- 7). Remove the control board by depressing the tabs securing it in place and removing it.
- 8). Depress the tabs securing the door latch assembly to the control panel and remove and discard the old control panel.
- 9). Snap the door latch assembly into the new control panel.

Snap the new control board into the new control panel. - 11
Connect the control panel ribbon connector to the control board. - 12
Reinstall the control board cover, snapping it into position. - 13
Align the control panel with the top of the door and reinstall the screws through the inner door panel. - 14
Turn on the dishwasher breaker to complete the replacement of the control panel.
