The Necklace
Richard walks through the jungle, back to where he buried the necklace. He digs it up and holds it, crying. "I've changed my mind," he says. He looks up. "Are you listening to me? I've changed my mind. I was wrong. You said I could change my mind. You said the offer would stand. Does the offer still stand? Does the offer still stand!"
He hears footsteps and turns to see Hurley. "What offer, dude?"

"What are you doing here? Did you follow me?"

"Yeah, kind of."

He pushes Hurley. "Didn't you hear what I said? I told you people I don't know anything!"

"Calm down."

"Why did you follow me?"

"Your wife sent me."

Richard stares at him. "What did you say?"

"I said your wife sent me. Isabella. She wants to know why you buried her cross."

"How do you know about that?"

"Because she just told me."

"What do you mean she just told you?"

"Isabella saw you dig it up, man. She's standing right next to you."

"He doesn't believe you," she says in Spanish.

In Spanish Hurley says, "Sometimes it takes people awhile."

Richard looks. "I don't see her."

She says, "Tell him his English is beautiful."

"She's right there. She says your English is awesome."

He looks in her direction. "Are you really here?"

"She wants you to close your eyes. It's okay, I'll tell you what she says."

He closes his eyes and she says, "It wasn't your fault I died, Ricardo. As much as you wanted to save me, it was my time." She puts her hand on his cheek.

"You've suffered enough, Ricardo."

"I miss you. I would do anything for us to be together again."

"My love, we are already together." She kisses his cheek and then she is gone.

Richard opens his eyes. "Is she gone?"

"Yeah," Hurley says.

Richard looks at the cross and then puts the necklace on. "Thank you."

"Yeah, you got it."

"Something wrong?"

"She kind of said one more thing. Something you have to do."

"What?"

"She said you have to stop the Man in Black. You have to stop him from leaving the island. Because if you don't," he speaks in Spanish, "we all go to Hell."

Man in Locke watches from afar.

Wine
Man in Black sits alone, playing with the white rock. Jacob walks over and says good morning. "I see you got my present."

"Don't gloat, Jacob, it doesn't become you."

"So you tried to kill me."

"You expect an apology?"

"No. I guess I just wonder why you did it."

"Because I want to leave. Just let me leave, Jacob."

"As long as I'm alive, you're not going anywhere."

"Well, then, now you know why I want to kill you. I will kill you, Jacob."

"Even if you do, somebody else will take my place."

"Well, then, I'll kill them, too."

Jacob gives Man in Black the wine. "Here, something for you to pass the time. I'll see you around." Jacob leaves.

"Sooner than you think," Man in Black says and breaks the wine bottle against a rock.
