How to Dress Up a Chair
- 1). Choose tulle in a color that coordinates with the bridal party colors. White is classic, but you can use a color very effectively. Keep in mind how the chairs will look in photographs.
- 2). Measure and cut your tulle into a piece 2 1/2 yards long for each chair to be covered. Lay your piece of tulle on a flat work surface.
- 3). Fold your tulle into thirds lengthwise. This will hide the edges of the netting.
- 4). Wrap the tulle around the back of the chair once and tie a square knot that faces the person sitting behind the chair. Tie a large bow. Arrange the folds so they look pleasing, and fan the bow so that it looks full. The streamers should drape in soft lines to the floor.
- 5). Arrange a few fresh flowers in a water tube. Add sprigs of green foliage that will follow the graceful lines of the tulle streamers. Tuck the water tube through the center of the knot so it is secure.
