How to Troubleshoot Noise in a KitchenAid Dishwasher

104 13

Instructions

1

Rearrange the dishes inside your KitchenAid dishwasher if you hear clanking noises during the wash cycle. Try to arrange the dishes so they do not touch. This will help prevent the dishes from clanking together.
2

Remove any oversized items that block or touch the wash arms from the dishwasher. The wash arms circulate water through the dishwasher, and if a large pot or pan interferes with these arms, it can cause thumping and even damage your dishwasher.
3

Check the filters on your KitchenAid dishwasher to make sure that they are properly installed. If the filters are not locked into place, they can rattle inside the dishwasher. The filters should be turned clockwise until they lock into place. If the filter still turns, it is not properly installed.
