Are you tired of hemorrhoid burning, itching, and swelling, and ready for long term hemorrhoid relief? Of course you are! I know I was in the same position as you, frustrated with the pain and discomfort of hemorrhoids.
I was desperate for some instant relief.
I tried many different treatments and medications but found only a few simple things could really help me in the short term.
Here are a few steps to help you get some hemorrhoid relief now: 1.
Use an ice pack.
You can put a handful of ice cubes in a zip top sandwich bag and use this as a cold compress on your hemorrhoid.
Simply press the ice against the areas where there is pain for about 10 minutes.
Do this several times per day, and I think you will see some results.
2.
Make a Sitz bath.
You will fill your bath tub with about 4 inches of warm water.
Sit in the bath for about 15 minutes per day to relieve itching areas.
Be careful not to get the water too hot or you will aggravate the hurting areas and you won't see any relief.
3.
Apply moist heat.
You can apply a hot water compress on the areas that are bleeding and itching to get hemorrhoid relief.
Take a washcloth and run hot water over it in the sink, then squeeze out most of the water, but still keep it moist.
You can do this for 20 minutes at a time, several times per day.
4.
Watch your movements.
Avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time as this may cause your hemorrhoids to flair up.
If you have to sit for some time then use a pillow.
Also, try not to lift heavy objects as this can cause undue swelling and strain and you won't see any relief.
5.
Bed rest may be necessary.
You might need to rest for a day or two to take pressure off of inflamed and irritated veins.
When you sleep do it on your stomach and put a pillow under your hips to reduce swelling.
Here are a few tips to prevent hemorrhoid problems.
o After a bowel movement blot the area with toilet paper moistened with water.
o While bathing, avoid using soap that contains perfumes or dyes.
o Make sure you have adequate fiber in your diet to avoid excessive pressure on veins.
While some of these steps and tips may help, there really is more you can do to get long term hemorrhoid relief.
