Primavera dos Museus:

Brazil museums welcome spring with Primavera dos Museus, a nationwide event which had its first edition in 2007.

During Primavera dos Museus every September, participating museums host special exhibits and musical performances and showcase their collections with a focus on the year's theme.

Participating museums sign up with the Brazilian Museum System and have their special activities listed on the Primavera dos Museus website, where you can view the programs grouped by state.


Exhibits in Primavera dos Museus don't necessarily start or end on the two days assigned to the main events. So even if you're not in Brazil at the very beginning of spring, you may still catch some of them.
