- 1). Spread newspaper on a table top to create yourself a working space and prevent damaging stains.
- 2). Drill two holes into the top of the cartridge where the circle and "Push" lettering is located. Drill one hole for ventilation, the other for filling up the cartridge.
- 3). Draw ink from the ink bottle into the syringe by sliding the needle into the bottle and pulling back the plunger. Fill the syringe with 25 mL of ink for the black cartridges, and 10 mL for color cartridges. Always match the color of ink to the appropriate color cartridge when refilling the color cartridges.
- 4). Inject ink into the cartridge by inserting the syringe into the hole and pressing down on the plunger. Fill the cartridge steadily and slowly to avoid spillage. When the cartridge is full, remove the syringe.
- 5). Place the cartridge into the chip resetter, to reset the chip on the side of the cartridge if you have purchased a resetter along with your ink kit. Just slide the cartridge in the resetter and wait for the green light to come on. Then remove it.
- 6). Place the cartridge into the printer by pushing it into the print head. Allow the cartridge to sit for up to 24 hours if possible before using the cartridge to print.
