- 1). Examine the disc for scratches, blemishes or any discoloration indicating the disc has been damaged.
- 2). Wipe the disc with a soft cloth in a clockwise motion on the underside of the disc, eliminating any smudges that may be present.
- 3). Verify your DVD drive has the most up-to-date drivers installed. Consult the manufacturer of your DVD drive for instructions on how to do this, as each DVD drive is different.
- 4). Turn off all anti-virus and firewall software while installing, as these are known to cause complications with certain installation programs.
