There Are Still Some Chevrolet Used Cars That Are Cheap To Own

105 2
In 2004 North America welcomed back the Daewoo brand (but partly own by General Motors, Suzuki and SAIC motor corporations). General Motors started by importing the cars back to North America in 2004 under the Pontiac and Chevrolet brands. Used cars like the Chevrolet Aveo are the smallest of the Daewoo models that General Motors would offer to the North American consumer. The Aveo is both a four door sedan and hatchback. It competes against the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Mazda 2, Honda Fit and the Nissan Cube Just name a few. My research will be on the Chevrolet Aveo as a used vehicle to look at.

I looked at Chevrolet Aveo used cars from the year 2010.There are three different body styles to choose from, the LS, 1LT, and 2LT trims. All models come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, but a four-speed automatic transmission is an option as well. Some of the safety features that come with the Aveo are front-side airbags and ABS brakes. Some standard features that come with the hatchback are remote entry and power locks. The best model (the 2LT) has heated mirrors, power mirrors, cruise control and satellite radio as some of the standard features for that model.

I could only find one fuel statistic for the Chevrolet Aveo. The only fuel rating goes back from 2005 and that fuel stat was 8.8-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 6.1 litres, per 100km, for highway driving. Even thou the fuel statistics look fairly good for the Aveo, it still only got a slightly better fuel rating than a Honda Civic which is a bigger vehicle.

There are several different engine sizes that come with the Aveo from the years 2004 to 2010. In 2004 the Aveo had a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine and this produced 103 horsepower. In 2010 the Aveo had a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine, but this time produced 108 horespower.

Let's look at some of the pros and cons of the Chevrolet Aveo as a used car:

1- It was given a bad rating as a used vehicle to own by a leading online consumer watchdog.
2- When visiting a website forum on the Aveo, one of the biggest complaints by owners is how hard it is to start the vehicle. There are reports that all models from every year have fuel system problems.
3- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Aveo a five star rating for a frontal impact crash test done to it.

I hope this helps when looking at Chevrolet used cars like the Aveo.
